- Moisture Your Skin
Apply moisturizing products (cream, an ointment) on the baby’s skin. This will help in preventing the development of eczema.
- Identify and Avoid Triggers
The skin may also react to various allergens (sweat, soaps, detergents, pollen). Children and infants can develop flare from eggs, soy, milk, as well as from wheat. You are advised to consult with a doctor & identify the different kinds of triggers that are affecting your skin.
- Take a short bath and Dry Carefully
You have to limit your bathing and shower time. You are advised to use warm water rather than cold water. After bathing, please gently dry the skin with a soft towel and do apply moisturizer after drying.
- Use Gentle Soaps
The eczema patients are advised to choose mild soaps because deodorant soaps and antibacterial soaps can lead to the removal of natural oil from your skin.
